Clients + clinicians have mutual responsibilities when engaging in therapy.
Our clinical therapy services are a voluntary intervention for individuals, couples & families with concerns they want to address. Our clinical services are remote, safe + secure. At the beginning of the process your rights will be reviewed with respect to informed consent, release of information, confidentiality, privacy of personal information & recording guidelines. You will be asked to sign forms that consent to your participation in our therapeutic services and our policies. Your Kahle therapist will work from a strength-based + collaborative approach. You have the right to be treated with dignity, respect & without discrimination.
RISKS
Sometimes situations feel as if they are worsening before they get better because as we begin to discuss your difficulties feelings of distress + unease may arise.
If there are child protection or safety concerns your therapist may need to call authorities.
You may feel vulnerable or uncomfortable discussing distressing or difficult experiences, or trying new things.
Therapy can involve challenging one’s beliefs + expectations, as well as acknowledging the role one has played in their situation.
